The Lies of Dating

The biggest Lie I have ever heard in my entire life is that dating is fun. The whole concept of dating as a fun thing is just unfathomable to me. How can the idea of spending the evening/day/outing with strangers hoping that by the end they will have enough interest in you for it to happen again be seen as a fun thing? Seriously, you want to know what dating is? It's a panic attack for your self esteem that's what it is, because the truth of the matter is if nobody is contacting you or wanting to have contact with you it's like you're being rejected by every person you have ever come across.  To make things worse is that we now have social media to add another blow to your ego. I mean you can add complete strangers on facebook or twitter or instagram so the whole statement above about rejection rings true in about 50 different kinds of social contact. Yay for dating! not.

Lies of Hoplessness

This blog is meant to tell the lies of life. Most of them will be my personal opinion with a heavy dose of sarcasm and light heartedness, but today I just wanted to say.

Although there is a lot of pain and confusion in the world, to say the world is in a hopeless spiral to it's doom is a lie. Now that is not to say that bad things happen and that each time I hear or read of the things that are just unfair that my heart does not break for those injustices, but I refuse to believe that the world is hopeless.

Sure there is a whole lot of pain that happens each day, but as long as we have the our mind we have the ability to choose to be happy, to see the hope, the love, and the joy of life. We are the light of the world and as long as we embrace that light we will find that although there will always be shadows we get to stay in the light if we choose. So let me just say, although each life is different, each pain is different it is a lie to say the world is hopeless because by doing so we take away the divine goodness that is in each of us. Because although Justice may be blind, Mercy is all seeing.
